Amazing...just the other day I was thinking about what I'd do if I had a lot of money, what I would do with it, give it to...

I don't really like most charities in the world today, I don't actually believe they're doing more good than bad. So, the very next day I was on the bus reading my 3-month old National Geographic and started an article on Prince Charles and his efforts to create sustainble agriculture, organic farmily, pedestrian-friendly communities, etc. I was thrilled...this is what I was looking for, something that actually does good without hurting others. So I Googled sustainable agriculture and found www.sustainer.org which even talked about systems thinking!!! And how one element can affect things waaaaayyy down the road in completely unexpected ways.

THEN..Marilyn and I were on the bus today talking about the DaVinci Code and religion and faith and I was then flipping channels tonight and ran across a new show called "Faith and Reason" where Salman Rushdie was being interviewed. Such an interesting man, I'd always heard about him in that there was controversy associated with him. What I didn't realize was his belief system, his reflection on world religions, politics, etc. I'm soooo interested in reading his books now.
